Baldur’s Gate 3 Director Gives Update on Potential Xbox Release Window
Baldur’s Gate 3 director Swen Vincke has given an update on the potential Xbox release window for the game. In an interview with IGN, he said that the game is still in development for Xbox Series X/S, but that they are targeting a release sometime between September and November of this year. The PS5 version of the game is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2023, and the Xbox iterations will launch at some point after that.
Vincke also said that they are still working on optimizing the game for Xbox, and that they want to make sure it is a good experience for players on that platform. He said that they are “committed to bringing Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox,” and that they will provide more updates on the release date as soon as they have them.
So, if you are an Xbox player who is looking forward to playing Baldur’s Gate 3, it looks like you will have to wait a little bit longer. But the good news is that it should be released sometime in the next few months.
Here are some other things to keep in mind about the Xbox release of Baldur’s Gate 3:
- The game will be released as a full release, not as an early access title.
- It will be cross-platform compatible with the PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
- It will be available on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles.
