Blue Beetle Director Has Big Plans For The Character’s Future
Angel Manuel Soto, the director of the upcoming Blue Beetle movie, has big plans for the character’s future. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Soto said that he envisions Blue Beetle as a “multiverse character” who could appear in other DC projects.
Soto also said that he wants to explore the character’s Latino heritage and make sure that the movie is “authentic and relatable” to Latinx audiences.
“I want to make sure that we’re telling a story that is authentic and relatable to the Latinx community,” Soto said. “I want to make sure that we’re showing the world what it means to be a superhero from that community.”
Soto’s plans for Blue Beetle are exciting and promising. If he can pull them off, the movie could be a major breakthrough for the character and for Latinx representation in superhero movies.
