Blue Beetle Director Reveals Who He Wants To Play Ted Kord
Blue Beetle director Angel Manuel Soto has revealed that he wants Jason Sudeikis to play Ted Kord in a potential sequel. Sudeikis is best known for his role as Ted Lasso in the Apple TV+ comedy series. He has also starred in films such as “Horrible Bosses”, “We’re the Millers”, and “The Book of Henry”.
Soto told The Digital Fix that Sudeikis has long been his dream cast for Ted Kord. “My dream cast for Ted Kord has always been Jason Sudeikis,” he said. “But at the end of the day, it’s about who’s best for the character, who loves what we’re trying to do. And who’s willing to see Jaime Reyes’ story continue.”
Ted Kord is the second person to take on the mantle of Blue Beetle. He is a genius-level inventor and a skilled martial artist. He does not have any superpowers, but he relies on his intelligence and gadgets to fight crime.
Soto said that he envisions Ted Kord as a “funny, charming, and smart” character. He believes that Sudeikis would be able to bring those qualities to the role.
It is not yet clear if Sudeikis would be interested in playing Ted Kord. However, if he does, it would be a major coup for the DC Extended Universe. Sudeikis is a popular and respected actor, and he would bring a lot of star power to the role.
The first Blue Beetle film, which stars Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes, is now in theaters. It has received positive reviews from critics, and it is expected to be a success at the box office. If the film is successful, it is likely that there will be a sequel, and Soto has already said that he would like to see Ted Kord appear in it.
