Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars: Reforged — Reveal Trailer | Xbox @ Gamescom 2023

Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars: Reforged was revealed at the Xbox Gamescom 2023 showcase. The trailer gave us a brief overview of the game, which is a remastered version of the 1996 point-and-click adventure game Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars.

The trailer shows George Stobbart, the American tourist who gets caught up in a mystery involving the Knights Templar, and Nico Collard, the French investigative journalist who helps him solve it. We see them travel to different locations, including Paris, Berlin, and the Pyrenees Mountains. We also see them encounter some of the game’s iconic characters, such as the murderous clown and the deadly explosion.

The trailer looks great, and it’s clear that a lot of care has been put into the remaster. The graphics have been updated to 4K, and the audio has been enhanced. The gameplay has also been tweaked to make it more accessible to modern players.

Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is scheduled to be released in early 2024 for console, PC, and mobile. I’m definitely looking forward to playing it.

According to the search results I have, the original edition of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars is the best version. The DCremastered version has some graphical improvements, but it also has some changes to the gameplay that some fans don’t like. So, if you’re looking for the definitive experience, the original edition is the way to go.
