Destiny 2 Confirms Bounty and Crafting Restrictions For Contest Mode Crota’s End

Bungie has confirmed that there will be bounty and crafting restrictions during the contest mode weekend for the Crota’s End raid in Destiny 2. This is to ensure server stability, as the contest mode modifier significantly increases the difficulty of the raid.

The restrictions will be as follows:

  • Bounty progress will only be made against “boss tier” enemies. This means that bounties that require you to kill a certain number of enemies, defeat enemies with a specific weapon, or complete a certain number of activities will not progress if you are fighting against enemies that are not considered “boss tier.”
  • Weapon crafting progress will also be limited to “boss tier” enemies. This means that you will not be able to progress the crafting of a weapon if you are killing enemies that are not considered “boss tier.”

The “boss tier” enemies in Crota’s End are:

  • Crota
  • Ir Yut, the Deathsinger
  • Deathsinger’s Acolytes
  • Ogres
  • Knights
  • Shriekers

These restrictions will be in place from the start of the contest mode weekend on September 8th until the end of the weekend on September 10th.

Bungie has said that they are monitoring the situation and may adjust the restrictions if necessary. However, they believe that these restrictions are necessary to ensure a smooth experience for all players.

If you are planning to participate in the contest mode weekend for Crota’s End, be sure to keep these restrictions in mind. You may want to focus on killing “boss tier” enemies if you want to make progress on your bounties and weapon crafting.
