Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is a standalone next-generation version of the 2019 action-adventure game Devil May Cry 5. It was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 12, 2020. The Special Edition includes a number of new features and content, including:

  • Vergil as a playable character
  • Turbo Mode, which increases the game speed by 20%
  • Legendary Dark Knight Mode, which increases the enemy count by up to 3 times
  • Three new playable songs for the Bloody Palace mode
  • New costumes for Dante, Nero, V, and Trish

  • New weapons for Dante

The Special Edition also features a number of technical improvements over the original game, including:

However, if you haven’t played the original game, then I would recommend starting with that before getting the Special Edition.
