Diablo 4 Dev Reveals Whether Diablo Immortal’s Blood Knight Class is Coming to the Game

The Blood Knight class from Diablo Immortal will not be coming to Diablo 4. This was confirmed by Diablo 4’s director, Rod Fergusson, in a recent interview. He said that the two games are “very different” and that the Blood Knight is “not a good fit” for Diablo 4.

The Blood Knight is a hybrid ranged/melee character that uses a polearm. It is the first new class to be added to the Diablo franchise since the Crusader in Diablo 3’s Reaper of Souls expansion. The class was added to Diablo Immortal in July 2023.

Diablo 4 is a much darker and more hardcore game than Diablo Immortal. It is also designed to be played offline, while Diablo Immortal is an online-only game. Fergusson said that the Blood Knight’s “vampiric aesthetic” and “bloody carnage” would be out of place in Diablo 4.

He also said that the Blood Knight’s gameplay style would not be a good fit for Diablo 4. The class is designed to be a “generalist” that can be played in a variety of ways. However, Diablo 4 is designed to have more specialized classes that are better suited for certain playstyles.

Fergusson said that Blizzard is still considering adding new classes to Diablo 4, but that the Blood Knight is not currently on the radar. He said that the team is focused on finishing the game and making sure that the existing classes are balanced and fun to play.

So, if you were hoping to play as the Blood Knight in Diablo 4, you’re out of luck. However, there are still five other classes to choose from, so you’re sure to find one that you like.
