The Gothic 1 Remake – Official Trailer gives us our first look at the upcoming remake of the classic action RPG Gothic. The trailer shows off the game’s updated graphics, overhauled combat system, and expanded world.
The trailer begins with a brief recap of the events of the original game, before introducing the new protagonist: a nameless hero who is shipwrecked on the shores of Khorinis. The hero must find a way to survive in this harsh world, while also uncovering the secrets of the island and its inhabitants.
The trailer then shows off some of the new features of Gothic 1 Remake, including:
- Stunning new graphics: Gothic 1 Remake has been rebuilt from the ground up with Unreal Engine 4, resulting in stunning visuals that are a significant improvement over the original game.
- Overhauled combat system: The combat system in Gothic 1 Remake has been overhauled, making it more fluid and responsive. Players will now have more control over their attacks, and they will be able to chain together combos for devastating effects.
- Expanded world: The world of Gothic 1 Remake has been expanded to include new areas and quests. Players will now have more to explore and more to do, while also getting a better sense of the scale of the island.
The trailer ends with a call to action, inviting players to experience the classic Gothic adventure in a whole new way. Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled to be released for PC in 2023.
