Leaker Claims Nintendo Direct Could Be Happening Soon, Possibly With GameCube News

According to a leaker known as Zippo, a new Nintendo Direct is coming soon, possibly in the first two weeks of September. Zippo has a mixed track record with leaks, but they have been correct about some things in the past, such as the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

Zippo’s latest leak claims that the upcoming Nintendo Direct will focus on Super Mario and GameCube games. This is in line with Nintendo’s recent trend of releasing remasters of classic games from their back catalog. In addition to Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Super Mario RPG, which were recently announced for the Switch, Zippo also mentions that there is a good chance that we will see more GameCube remasters announced at the Direct. Some of the games that have been rumored to be getting remastered include Metroid Prime 2, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess.

Of course, it is important to take all leaks with a grain of salt. Nintendo has not yet announced any plans for a new Nintendo Direct, so we will have to wait and see if Zippo’s claims are accurate. However, if they are, then GameCube fans are in for a treat.

In addition to the possible GameCube remasters, Zippo also claims that the Nintendo Direct will feature new looks at other upcoming Switch games, such as the new Princess Peach game. It is also possible that we will see some news about the next generation of Nintendo consoles, but Zippo does not mention this specifically.

We will have to wait and see what Nintendo has in store for us, but the upcoming Nintendo Direct is certainly something to keep an eye on. If Zippo’s leak is accurate, then it could be a very exciting time for GameCube fans.
