Lost Odyssey

Lost Odyssey is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Feelplus and planned by Mistwalker for the Xbox 360. It was published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2007 in Japan and 2008 in western territories. The game was directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, who is also the creator of the Final Fantasy series.

The story follows Kaim, one of a select group of “immortals” who have lost their memories. While confronting threats generated by the world’s approaching magical industrial revolution, he must also face the pain brought by his returning memories. The game features a traditional turn-based battle system, as well as a unique “Dream Sequence” system that allows players to learn more about Kaim’s past through a series of short stories.

Lost Odyssey was praised for its story, characters, and music. It was also a commercial success, selling over 3 million copies worldwide. The game has since been re-released for the Xbox One via backward compatibility.
