Microsoft Flight Simulator – Official City Update 4 Launch Trailer | gamescom 2023 was released on August 24, 2023, at the gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. The trailer showcases the new features of City Update 4, which includes:
- High-resolution 3D models of five cities in Western Europe: Annemasse, Geneva, Ghent, Luxembourg City, and Rotterdam.
- Enhanced textures and details for buildings, roads, and other landmarks.
- New Points of Interest (POIs) for each city, such as airports, train stations, and tourist attractions.
- Updated weather and lighting conditions for each city.
The City Update 4 is available now for free to all players of Microsoft Flight Simulator. To install it, open the in-game Marketplace and search for “City Update 4”.
In addition to the City Update 4, Microsoft also announced a new Local Legend aircraft for Flight Simulator: the Dornier Do X. The Dornier Do X is a German seaplane that was built in the early 1920s. It was the largest flying boat in the world at the time, and it was used for passenger and cargo transportation. The Dornier Do X is available now for purchase in the in-game Marketplace for USD $14.99.
