Penny Hockey

Penny hockey is a simple tabletop game that simulates a game of ice hockey. It is typically played by two players, each of whom controls three pennies. The goal of the game is to flick your pennies into your opponent’s goal.

To set up the game, you will need a flat surface, such as a table or a piece of cardboard. You will also need two pennies for each player, and two objects to create the goals. These objects can be anything from books to cups to empty cans.

Once the game is set up, each player places their three pennies in a triangle formation at the center of the table. The player who goes first flicks their rearmost penny forward. The other player then flicks their rearmost penny, and so on. The pennies can be flicked in any direction, but they cannot be picked up or moved with your hands.

If a penny goes off the table, it is out of play. If a penny hits an object, it can bounce off and continue moving. If a penny goes into your opponent’s goal, you score a point. The first player to score 10 points wins the game.

Here are some additional rules that you can add to make the game more challenging:

  • You can only flick one penny at a time.
  • You cannot flick your pennies into your opponent’s hands.
  • If you knock your opponent’s pennies off the table, they are out of play.
  • You can only flick your pennies in the direction of your opponent’s goal.

Penny hockey is a fun and easy game to play that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to improve your hand-eye coordination and dexterity. So gather up some pennies and give it a try!
