Pokemon GO Adding 21 Paldea Region Pokemon and New Special Research Soon
Niantic has announced that they will be adding 21 new Paldea region Pokemon to Pokemon GO in September 2023. The first batch of Pokemon will be released on September 5th, and the second wave will be released on September 10th. The new Pokemon include the starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as other popular Pokemon like Lechonk, Pawmi, and Nymble.
Along with the new Pokemon, there will also be a free Special Research called Adventures Abound. This research will take players on a journey through the Paldea region, where they will meet new characters and learn about the region’s history.
The new Pokemon and Special Research are part of the ongoing Season of Go, which is celebrating the 9th anniversary of Pokemon GO. The season began on June 1st and will run until September 1st.
