Rapper Gunplay Accused of Holding Wife at Gunpoint After Being Told to Quiet Down While Playing Call of Duty

Rapper Gunplay, whose real name is Richard Morales Jr., was arrested on August 19, 2023 after his wife accused him of holding her at gunpoint after she asked him to lower the volume while he was playing Call of Duty.

According to the police report, Gunplay’s wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales, told police that she asked Gunplay to lower the volume of the game because their 6-month-old daughter was trying to sleep. Gunplay allegedly became angry and started yelling at her. He then allegedly pointed a gun at her and told her to shut up.

Taylor-Morales was able to escape the house and call the police. Gunplay was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and false imprisonment. He is currently being held in the Miami-Dade Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Gunplay has denied the allegations, saying that he never pointed a gun at his wife. He said that he was simply trying to calm her down and that she overreacted.

Gunplay is a Miami-based rapper who is known for his aggressive style. He has released four albums, including 2012’s “Living Legend” and 2017’s “Living Legend 2.” He has also appeared on several reality TV shows, including Love & Hip Hop: Miami.

The allegations against Gunplay are serious and could have a significant impact on his career. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 1, 2023.
