Retrieval – The Official Reveal Trailer that was released at gamescom 2023 looks like a promising cinematic horror action-adventure game.
The trailer introduces us to Hana Loshe, a commander of a research team on a planet 18.6 billion miles away from Earth. The team is tasked with retrieving a mysterious artifact, but things go wrong and Hana is forced to flee into the depths of the base.
The trailer shows some brief glimpses of the horrors that Hana will face, including strange creatures, twisted environments, and a pervasive sense of dread. It’s clear that Retrieval is going to be a game that will keep players on the edge of their seats.
The game is being developed by 333Studios, a new indie studio founded by former members of Arkane Studios. 333Studios is also working on another game called Black Legend, a turn-based tactical RPG set in 17th century Europe.
Retrieval is still in development, but it’s scheduled to be released sometime in 2024.
