Sharing Links and Articles on Facebook
There are two ways to share links and articles on Facebook:
In a post:
- Go to your Facebook News Feed.
- Click What’s on your mind…
- Paste the link into the text box.
- Add an optional update or caption.
- Click Post.
In a comment:
- Go to the post where you want to share the link.
- Click Comment.
- Paste the link into the comment box.
- Add an optional comment.
- Click Enter.
When you share a link, Facebook will generate a preview of the article, including the title, description, and image. You can edit the preview before you post, or you can remove it altogether by clicking the X in the top right corner.
Tips for sharing links and articles on Facebook:
- Choose links that are relevant to your audience and that you think they will be interested in.
- Write a short caption or introduction to your post to tell people what the link is about and why you are sharing it.
- Use relevant hashtags to reach a wider audience.
- Consider sharing links to your own website or blog posts, as well as links to articles from other sources.
- Avoid sharing links to spammy or malicious websites.
Sharing links and articles on Facebook pages:
If you have a Facebook page, you can also share links and articles to your page. To do this:
- Go to your Facebook page.
- Click Post something.
- Paste the link into the text box.
- Add an optional update or caption.
- Click Post.
When you share a link to your page, your followers will see it in their News Feeds. You can also choose to share a link to a specific group or audience. To do this, click the Audience button below the text box and select the audience you want to share the link with.
