Sharing Spotify Music on Facebook
There are two ways to share Spotify music on Facebook:
Sharing a link to a song, album, playlist, or podcast
- Open the Spotify app and find the song, album, playlist, or podcast you want to share.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap “Share” and then select “Facebook”.
- You can then choose to share the link in your news feed, send it to a specific friend or group, or share it to your Facebook story.
Sharing a preview of a song or podcast directly on Facebook
- Open the Spotify app and find the song or podcast you want to share.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap “Share” and then select “Facebook”.
- Tap “Share preview”.
- You can then add a caption to your post and choose to share it in your news feed, send it to a specific friend or group, or share it to your Facebook story.
Note: The ability to share full-length songs from Spotify on Facebook was discontinued in March 2022. However, you can still share previews of songs and podcasts, or share links to songs and podcasts that your friends can open in the Spotify app.

- When sharing a link to a song, album, playlist, or podcast, you can add a personal message to add some context or let your friends know why you’re sharing it with them.
- If you’re sharing a preview of a song or podcast, you can choose to share the preview with your friends or with the public.
