The Final Mission for Destiny 2’s The Final Shape Won’t Be Available at Launch

The last mission of Destiny 2: The Final Shape will not be available at launch. Instead, it will unlock after players complete the DLC’s raid. This was revealed in an interview by game director Joe Blackburn, who also revealed some more details about Destiny 2: The Final Shape and the future of PvP in the game.

Blackburn said that the decision to lock the last mission behind the raid was made to ensure that players have a challenging and rewarding experience. The raid is designed to be the most difficult content in the expansion, and Bungie wants players to feel a sense of accomplishment when they complete it.

The last mission will also be a climactic ending to the game’s Light and Darkness saga. Blackburn said that it will be a “huge moment” for the Destiny universe, and that players will not want to miss it.

The Final Shape is scheduled to be released on February 27, 2024. The raid will be released at a later date, but Bungie has not yet announced when.
