The PlayStation Plus subscription service has launched its new three-tier system in the UK.

The new PlayStation Plus subscription service launched in the UK on June 23, 2023. It has three tiers:

  • Essential: This is the base tier and offers the same benefits as the previous PlayStation Plus service, including monthly free games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage for saved games, and online multiplayer access. It costs £6.99 per month, £19.99 for three months, or £49.99 for 12 months.
  • Extra: This tier includes everything in Essential, plus a catalog of over 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 games. It costs £10.99 per month, £31.99 for three months, or £83.99 for 12 months.
  • Premium: This is the top tier and includes everything in Essential and Extra, plus a catalog of over 340 classic games from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 eras, as well as time-limited game trials. It costs £13.49 per month, £39.99 for three months, or £99.99 for 12 months.

You can choose the tier that best suits your needs. If you’re only interested in the monthly free games and online multiplayer, then the Essential tier is the best option for you. If you want to have access to a wider library of games, then the Extra tier is a good choice. And if you want to play classic games and try out new games before you buy them, then the Premium tier is the best option.
